7 Hours and Falling – Mt. Baldy Here I Come!

Well, I’m here in the hotel in Claremont, just a few hours until the start of the l’Etape du California.  The route is 75 miles with 10,500 feet of climbing.  The two major climbs will be timed and the men and women with the lowest combined times will be crowned the King and Queen of climbing.

The Tutti Mangia System

Not being in competition for the climbing honors, my friend Scott and I found this great Italian restaurant here in Claremont and enjoyed what Scott – a pretty fair gourmand – described as his best meal of 2011 thus far.

A Very Nice Wine

Fast Freddy is ready and it’s time for a few winks and then on to the climbing.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Project Climbing Jersey

If you’re looking to earn a PCAP climbing jersey, you need to log 50,000 vertical feet in 2011.  Check back for the unique jersey Primal Wear is creating for us.

Just another day in Paradise.

Warm regards,  Robert
